WEMS Championship Race & Single Speed Championship at Alpine Valley – October 4th

Bringing Alpine Valley Resort out of mountain bike racing retirement!
First race in over 8 years. Alpine Valley has something for everyone and happens to be a great location to host the WEMS championship race. Many great spectator locations for family and friends to cheer on the racers.

For all Series racers who have completed 3 races prior to October can still lock in a Series overall award by competing in the Championship race this weekend.

Online Registration will close on Thursday October 2nd at Midnight. (Click Here)
Day of Race registration is also available and opens at 6:30 am.
Day of Race registration will close 15 minutes prior to the start of each event.

Start times are as follows:
Late Season race so light is an issue and that is the reason for earlier start and finish times.
Long Race (9 Hour): 8 am – final lap must be finished by 5 pm
Mid Race (6 Hour): 10 am – final lap must be completed by 4 pm
Short Race (3 Hour): 12 pm – final lap must be completed by 3 pm

WEMS 2014 Singlespeed State Championship:
(4 Hour): 12 pm start time – final lap must be completed by 4 pm

Any Long Distance Series racers who choose to compete in the SS Championship event will all receive points towards their Long Distance overall score.

Course description: extremely windy trail, lots of torquey climbs, bridges, very little double track, yes it is a ski hill so be ready to climb, approximately 7 miles long, lap roughly 1 hour.

Lots of great pit area for EZ-UP tents along the course!

  • Dash for cash first lap, cost $5 to enter, first racer to the 4 mile marker wins the pot, Race director is putting up $20!

Unfortunately camping is not available at Alpine Valley. There is an on-site hotel that racers are more than welcome to take advantage of and enjoy a warm accommodations on the venue property. Hotel guests can pre-ride Friday night!
