Wisconsin Single Speed Championship

Help spread the word about the mountains of single speed fun that will be happening next weekend, August 3 out in Beechwood.  Check the link below for some of the details.  This should be unlike any other race you’ve ever been to, with a day filled with bikes, laughs, beers, and cheers.  We’re planning on a stage race format with a xc stage and multiple enduro stages through some of the best single track segments.  If you don’t have a single speed, leave the geared bikes at home and come try out one of the demo bikes that Milwaukee Bicycle will be bringing up.  The enduro segments will be very spectator friendly and I’m sure we will have a mobile beer cart following the race along to help keep things lively.  We’re also looking for volunteers to help out with registration and timing.

Come Friday and stay through Sunday if you can.

Regular Beechwood riders riding on 29ers run anywhere from a 34×19 for the super strong mashers to a 32×21 for the spinners. There are lots and lots of steep punchy climbs and very few flat spots to hurt those that choose to run easier gearing. I’d suggest erring on the easy side for anyone that hasn’t been there.

Feel free to call me with any questions regarding the weekend and the race.
