Updated Race Results as of 9/27/2015
OK EVERYONE!!! Are you ready?? Next weekend, Saturday, September 19th is the WEMS race at New Fane! Come on out! Trails are in great shape, we’ll be doing a little more touch up prior to the race.
As in previous years, the group consensus is to go with a TIME BASED RACE, with all races ending at 6:00pm (due to diminishing daylight). That also allows everyone to gather together after the race for food!
So you can plan ahead, race times are as follows:
LONG distance – Runs from 8am – 6pm
MEDIUM distance – Runs from 1pm – 6pm
SHORT distance – Runs from 3pm – 6pm
Please KEEP IN MIND – your last lap must be COMPLETED by 6:00pm or it DOES NOT COUNT.
Unfortunately there is no overnight camping IN the lot, but Mauthe Lake and Long Lake are close by.
Don’t forget this is a State Park so you’ll need to bring enough for a trail pass and sticker if you don’t already have those. The DNR does visit through the day and they WILL ticket you if you do not have them.
See our other posts for more information. Food (sponsored by Sell or Buy with Brittany Nigh) afterwards. Bring your own beverages. No coveted “coasters” this year though. . . but we do have some fabulous pint glasses on the way for awards!
There is one trail head for New Fane, that’s where we’ll be Saturday! Take Hwy 28 east of Kewaskum to Kettle Moraine Rd, north to County Line Rd to the trail head.
Fast, Flowey (or is it flowy) and FUN!!
